Over its Tg, it works as a <strong>thermoplastic composite<\/strong> and is easily <strong>recycled at the end of life<\/strong>, representing a <strong>solvent free<\/strong>, <strong>property patented<\/strong>, very innovative solution.<\/p>\n<p>It is <strong>stable and solid at RT<\/strong> with <strong>no pot life limits<\/strong> and <strong>transportation issues<\/strong>. It is <strong>easy to apply<\/strong> and especially designed for <strong>rapid (a few minutes) isothermal press moulding<\/strong> transformation technology.<\/p>\n<p>While molten, <strong>Crosspreg\u00ae<\/strong> shows an <strong>extremely low viscosity<\/strong>, about <strong>10 times lower<\/strong> than any other solvent based resin, capable to <strong>capillary impregnate<\/strong> the reinforcing fabrics, without <strong>high pressures need<\/strong>. A perfect capillary impregnation translates in <strong>no humidity\/water pickup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Crosspreg\u00ae<\/strong> can be <strong>carbon, glass, basalt, aramid, polyester or natural fibre-based<\/strong> (e.g. <strong>linen\/hemp\/cotton\/bamboo<\/strong>). In the curing phase, its surface can be <strong>modified thermoplastic<\/strong> to allow perfect adhesion when further <strong>thermoplastic over-injection<\/strong> is required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Crosspreg\u00ae<\/strong> is supplied industrially as <strong>coiled laminate<\/strong>, at current max width of <strong>1300mm<\/strong>. The cost of the mould\/object, given the high productive seriality who can hit <strong>80K units\/y<\/strong>, is minimal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Crosspreg\u00ae<\/strong> represents the <strong>Crossfire green answer<\/strong> to the traditional steel technology, who calls for high energy consumes from the <strong>Raw Material making<\/strong> up to the parts EoL.
